‘Can’t you give me brains?’ asked the Scarecrow
‘You don’t need them. You are learning something everyday. A baby has brains but it doesn’t know much. Experience is the only thing that brings knowledge and the longer you are on earth the more experience you are sure to get.’
‘But how about my courage?’ Asked the Lion anxiously
‘You have plenty of courage, I am sure’ answered Oz. ‘All you need us confidence in yourself. There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. True courage is in facing danger when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty.’
‘How about my heart?’ asked the Tinman
‘Why, as for that’ answered Oz, ‘I think you were wrong to want a heart. It makes most people unhappy. If only you knew it, you are in luck not to have a heart.’
‘That must be a matter of opinion,’ said the Tinman. ‘For my part, I will bear all the unhappiness without a murmur, if you will give me the heart.’
– Frank L Baum, The Wizard of Oz.
I’ve been a little quiet recently on the old social media.
But those of you doing business with me in the ‘real world’ will know that I’ve been rising like a phoenix from the flames right now.
Bringing the power of good.
And ready to be the change that we all need to see in the world.
For my children and your children and all the children of our world.
It’s time. It’s no longer possible to play small or hide or be comfortable.
‘All you need is confidence in yourself. There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. True courage is facing danger when you are afraid.’
